COBANIJA is a residential and commercial building in Sarajevo, interpolated in the existing urban structure as an unobtrusive modern object. The execution of the project was very demanding from the aspect of protecting the construction pit and the existing family house above the plot. The construction involved the prevention of possible landslides and damage to neighboring buildings. The building consists of four floors, i.e. underground floor, ground floor, first floor and second floor. Its total net usable area is 1,020m2. Due to the northern orientation of the plot, the project followed the same and an excellent view from the interior towards the city of Sarajevo was formed. Contemporary design, high interior comfort, strong insulation of all envelope surfaces, U-indicator of all opaque surfaces below 0.2W/m2/K and transparent surfaces 0.9W/m2/K, total energy consumption of 40 kWh/m2/year. were the key goals of the project.
