The weekend house Rakovica is located in a suburb of Sarajevo. The main idea illustrated by this design elevates the architectural tradition of Bosnia and Herzegovina in terms of form, materialization and function. The design relies on elements of the traditional house shape with the aim of creating a modern composition that will indicate the original shape. In this context, stone, wood and plaster were the basic materials used in cladding facade surfaces. The composition that permeates two basic volumes, two cubes covered with sloping roofs, creates a unique image of architecture. The project was recognized by the BIG SEE organization and received an award in 2017.
