A human-centred residential complex that combines terrain-adaptive architecture, integrated greenery, and energy-efficient design to create a high-quality living environment in Sarajevo.
City Pulse is conceived as a contemporary residential complex in Sarajevo, defined by high living quality, strong spatial identity, and a clear human-centred approach. The project integrates residential comfort, landscape, and energy performance into a coherent architectural concept.
The architecture is composed of smaller building volumes that shift horizontally and vertically, allowing the structure to adapt naturally to the sloped terrain. This terrain-responsive strategy optimises construction logic, enhances views and daylight access, and strengthens the relationship between interior spaces and the surrounding landscape.
The complex comprises 42 residential units, ranging from one- to four-room apartments. Two underground levels accommodate 63 parking spaces and all supporting service areas, including bicycle and stroller storage, waste rooms, technical spaces, and a boiler room. The basement level includes apartments with private gardens, tenant storage rooms, and an exclusive wellness and spa centre reserved solely for residents.
The project was shortlisted in an invitational architectural competition. Due to administrative constraints and unresolved regulatory issues during the permitting process, the investor ultimately decided not to proceed with construction.
