A context-sensitive apartment building on Hvar, organised around a central green atrium and designed to balance open sea views, privacy, and strong integration with the natural landscape.
This apartment building with eight units is located on a highly attractive site on the island of Hvar, offering open sea views while maintaining a strong sense of privacy and immersion in the natural surroundings. The project is carefully integrated into its context, adapting to the terrain and enhancing the spatial and environmental quality of the site through its architectural composition.
Circulation between the apartments is organised around an internal green courtyard, conceived as an atrium that becomes the spatial heart of the building. Pedestrian movement is clear and intuitive, while the courtyard and open airspace introduce an additional experiential layer—framing views either toward the open blue sea or the surrounding green landscape.
The building consists of three levels: a garage level and two residential floors. A flat roof crowns the structure and functions as a usable terrace for the top-floor apartments, extending living spaces outward and reinforcing the relationship between architecture, landscape, and climate.
